Lyon

Here are some pictures taken in the French city, Lyon. As it is the gastronomic capital of France, I don't think ive eaten so well considering the strange parts of the animal that were used for each dish. For example, the second night when I had beef stomach and bites of beef tongue, which I found to have the taste of steak but a bit squishier. YUM. The first night we went to a typical Lyonnaise style restraurant, known as a Bouchron and we picked it solely on the fact that one of us wanted to try brains, too bad cervelle isn't a little brain in this context. But all was well in the end, there was enough wine to make up for that.

(Also, Krysta, Amanda, and Joe, I think it would amuse you to know that I'm sick again)

Voila, Lyon!

Lyon is indeed very pretty with lots to do, but I think the best part was playing Gravel on a playground next to the river for an hour as we were gawked at by many a passerby.

There are two rivers in Lyon. I believe this one is the Rhone.

The following are pictures of the Basilica Notre-Dame de Fourvière. It is a pretty recent Basilica built in the late 19th century. It overlooks the entire city.
